This page plays episodes of The Quiet Fortune, an original audio drama. We want to know which stories people like, so we count plays. That's all.

What we count

• That the page was opened, that an episode was started, and how far it was played (a quarter, half, three quarters, the end).
• Which of our Facebook posts the link came from (a short code in the link, like ?r=ep1a).
• A random number made fresh each time the page opens, so one listen isn't counted twice. It is never saved on your phone and can't identify you.

What we don't do

• No cookies, no tracking pixels, no advertising or social-media trackers, no accounts, no names or emails.
• We don't store your IP address in our counts, and we don't follow you to other websites.

How long we keep it

The individual counts are deleted after 90 days. After that we keep only totals, like "120 people started episode 1".

Don't want to be counted?

Tap "Don't count me" at the bottom of the episode page. It remembers your choice on that phone (that one setting is the only thing the page ever saves), and nothing is counted from then on.
